Carrackalinga and Other Things

A couple of weeks ago my dad, my sister and I went on a mini holiday with some friends to Carrackalinga for a couple of days. Carrackalinga is a tiny town in South Australia which is beautiful. It's right on the beach and we stayed in a friend's beach house right in front of the ocean. It's winter over here right now and we planned to have bonfires on the beach with roasted marshmallows. Unfortunately it rained the whole time and was really windy so we never got the chance, we still went on walks during the day and we had a wonderful time nonetheless. Sorry, I would post some photos but my computer won't let me upload them but I promise to upload them in a another post.

On a completely different subject, I know I haven't been uploading very regularly but I probably chose the worst time to start a blog- just when I went back to school. I've been struggling with homework after the school holidays but once I get out of holiday mode and get a routine I hope to be posting a bit more often. I like being back at school as I tend to get a bit bored during the holidays due to the inactivity, although it is a bit of a shock having to wake up at 7 am again. Since I'll be posting more I may need a few blog post ideas to write down in my notebook of ideas, so if you have any suggestions I love it if you comment them!

Boo

Going Out for Breakfast

Sorry I haven't posted in ages but I been way too lazy, but today I forced myself to do something. Here are two photos I took when I went out to breakfast once. I ordered banana bread and a strawberry smoothie, plus a bowl of strawberries my sister gave me from her pancakes. The first photo is of a slice of banana bread with lemon curd, which came with it, with the strawberries and smoothie in the background. I like this photo because of the blurred effect I gave it when editing and I also like the mini wood chopping board thing they gave me instead of a plate as it gives the photo, I guess you can call it, a sort of authentic look.
The second photo is of the strawberry smoothie and of the bowl of strawberries. These items both match obviously so I put them together. When editing I put some saturation on so they stand out more because of the cluttered background. I don't like this photo as much as the first one because to me it just doesn't look right, I think it's a bit too unbalanced. If you're reading this comment which one is your favourite as it will help me a lot!

Boo

Hellooooooooo!

Hey, welcome to my blog if your reading this. My name's Rebecca and this is my first post! I'm hoping to post about photography, which I'm very passionate about, and lifestyle. Although sometimes my interests change and so does the people around me, because that's a fact of life, so things on here may change as I do but you can never see into the future! As I mentioned before my name's Rebecca Shaw but the name of this blog is 'Boo' because that was a nickname I got called in my younger childhood by my family (it originated from 'Becca Boo'). I live in South Australia though I was born and raised as a younger child in Britain. I have two parents (duh) a younger sister, Hannah, and a baby brother named Oliver. I absolutely love to read and don't like television that much- unlike normal children and I also play netball. I wish to be a Photographer or Journalist one day because I love the use of words (that was one of the reasons for starting a blog). My email is boo.shaw23@gmail.com if you wish to give feedback (please no spamming!) Or follow me on Twitter (@RebeccaShaw23). I'm still yet to create a Facebook page and Instagram account for this blog yet and any other social networks.
Love,
Boo
